Tulsa County Medical Society was established in 1907 as the professional organization for physicians in Tulsa County and currently represents over 750 allopathic and osteopathic physicians, 539 medical Students and 174 residents. The purpose of Tulsa County Medical Society is: “To promote the art and science of medicine, foster ethical practices among members and unite the medical profession in promoting public health.” The mission of the medical society is: “To be the advocate for both physicians and patients, to support quality health care, to be a leader in health care reform and to sustain a continuing dialogue between the membership and the community in which we live and work.” Tulsa County Medical Society offers many opportunities throughout the year for our members to network both socially with their spouses and at business meetings.

The TCMS Foundation is a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt charitable organization created in 1987 under the leadership of Dr. Jerry Puls during his tenure as President. The mission of the TCMS Foundation is “Through the professional expertise and engagement of the Tulsa County Medical Society member physicians and Alliance, utilizing the prudent management of its resources, and with the help of donor funding the Tulsa County Medical Society Foundation will develop, create and maintain programs in the Tulsa area designed for health promotion, health education, and disease prevention and treatment.
